Camp Hanover Part Time Positions Available

Camp Hanover, the camp and retreat center of the Presbytery of the James, is looking for persons to help staff this ministry. These are part time positions, most with a good bit of flexibility in the hours. All would require the person to have a criminal background check, provide character and skill references, and to have their own transportation. We are looking for reliable, responsible persons who wish to be involved in a ministry of hospitality where their gifts can be used to help create "a place apart for renewal and growth in an environment of Christian hospitality." (Camp Hanover Mission Statement). All (except the summer health care provider position) are hourly pay positions with the rate dependent on skill level and amount of experience. Cook/Kitchen Worker

Camp Hanover Part Time Positions Available
Occasional year round (late August through late May) weekend and midweek work and potential for regular summertime work. Able to prepare, serve and clean up meals in a safe and sanitary manner under the direction of the head cook. Prefer to have someone with skills in main-dish preparation or as a baker. Willing to train the right person. Must be able to work effectively as a member of our food service team.

 

 

 

 

Summer Camp Health Care Provider

A residential position (for 3 days; one, two, or four weeks) during the time of June 16- August 20, 2008. Must be a licensed Medical Doctor, RN, or EMT. Room and board during your stay plus salary (though volunteers would be welcomed). Provide medical care for campers (120-150 each session) and staff (35-50 college aged persons).

To work now through September, 30-40 hours/week, in camp’s organic vegetable garden. Able to prepare the soil, plant, and maintain a 1 acre garden. Will be assisted by campers and high school staff, mid-June through mid-August.
