You’ll stay at camp and have time to sample the community-building, fun, and challenging activities on site. Hang out at the lake, on the high ropes course, and the wall. Develop friendships, dig deeply into your faith, and learn more about serving others. A challenging and restful week!

Surely Christ knew the joy of building and the peacefulness of sailing. These are the foundation blocks of Nail and Sail. This work-camp in the Kilmarnock area will provide an opportunity for hard work, community living, meaningful worship, building friendships, and quality sailing instruction.

Come discover: yourself, others, and the Christ who is present in all of our challenges and fun. Head out of camp on a 2- or 3-day canoeing, hiking, or climbing adventure. Hang out on the high ropes course and spin on the Wink. Serve others. Lead and be led; challenge and be challenged. Discover that living in wall tents across the lake is a great way to grow closer to God’s creation.

Adventure is what these camps are all about: outdoor adventures; adventures on our journey of faith. You could find yourself on rivers, on trails, on belay, on a mission of service. You’ll learn, and you’ll grow. Outdoor adventure options may include rock-climbing, spelunking (caving), white water rafting or canoeing, hiking the Appalachian Trail, hang-gliding and more. Live close to God’s creation in wall tents. Be part of Christian community at its fullest. These camps promise an unforgettable experience!

God calls us into partnership, to work with people in need, to give from our abundance. Work long and hard, serving the Lord with gladness. Current campers and staff from years past will work together to serve our Christian neighbors away from Camp, working on houses of those in need in southwest Virginia. Meet at camp before journeying to your “mission home” at the Tazewell Presbyterian Church where long time mission trip leader, Greg Wood, is now the pastor. All fees for mission camp are tax deductible. Registrations for this camp must be received no later than (June 15, 2012) Make your plans NOW!

Duration of Camp: Four 2-week sessions
2012 Start dates: June 18, July 2, 23, August 6
Hard work, strong community, role models for younger campers, and challenges for one’s faith journey are the cornerstones of this camp. A separate application and three completed reference forms are required (see below). Many Pathfinders choose to use their time serving camp to satisfy school community service requirements.
