Campers love to receive messages from home!
We provide a “one-way” email service you can use to send email to your campers while they are at camp. The best part is that you can also invite your friends and family members to send emails too! There is no extra cost to send emails. It’s included as part of the summer camp experience!
When Do Campers Receive Email?
Emails received by 11:30am are delivered at lunchtime on the day they are received. Emails received after 11:30am are delivered at lunchtime on the following day. Emails are delivered Monday through Friday while campers are at camp. Emails received after a camp session has ended are not forwarded to campers.

If you register online for camp, the “Email a Camper” service is automatically set up for you, and becomes active the day your camper arrives at camp. You will use the same account which you used to register for summer camp to access the email service (no additional usernames or passwords to worry about!). You can visit www.camphanover.org/emailacamper to return to your account and enter your username and password. If you forget your password, you can always click on the ‘Forgot your username or password?’ link on the account page, or call us at camp to help. If you did not register online, an account may have been set up for you already. If you are unsure of your account details, contact us at (804) 779-2811 and we’ll be happy to help you out.
Invite Friends and Family to Send Emails!
You can invite family and friends to send emails to your campers. Invitees don’t need to set up accounts. Instead, when you invite them, they will receive an email with a link they can click on to access the email service. Clicking on that link is like logging into an account, so they can keep that email in their inbox to “log in” again in the future. You choose how many emails those you invite are able to send.
